About Me

I'm a software engineer in London, currently a Forward Deployed Engineer at Palantir. Over the last two years I've gone from contained internal tooling to being the primary technical contact across 10+ NHS trust deployments on the Federated Data Platform — designing and validating data pipelines end-to-end, untangling messy source data, and unblocking at-risk go-lives, often as the only engineer in the room with the client.

My day job is data engineering — Python, PySpark, SQL and Palantir Foundry — but I build full-stack in my own time with React, Next.js, SvelteKit, Go and FastAPI (a few are in the projects below). Before tech I spent seven years teaching English across South Korea, Japan and the UK, plus a year recruiting in Tokyo — which is where the comfort with stakeholders and presenting actually comes from.

I care about shipping things that work and being honest about their limits. I'm finishing a Level 5 Data Engineer apprenticeship and looking for the next challenge — if that sounds like a fit, let's talk.

  • Book Checker

    Real-time UK bookshop stock checker. Enter a book and a postcode and it drives Waterstones, Foyles and Hive's click-and-collect flows concurrently to show which nearby shops have it on the shelf.

  • Integrated Obsidian Terminal

    An Obsidian plugin embedding a full terminal emulator (xterm.js + node-pty, with a Python PTY fallback). Persistent background sessions, multiple tabs, an FD-3 resize control channel, and live theming from Obsidian's CSS variables.

  • Cassandra

    Full-stack tarot-reading web app — a Go/Gin REST backend and a SvelteKit frontend that deals three cards and generates a reading via an LLM API. Built to 83% test coverage.

    Full-stack tool that parses marathon race data, sorts by rank or bib number and exports to CSV — cleanly separated front and back end with test coverage on both.
